However, there is considerable flexibility in the program in order to accommodate the needs and interests of the individual students. This course aims to teach the fundamentals of human gross and clinical anatomy for individuals who have an interest in anatomy but do not want to pursue, or do not need, a masters degree. For students in the Master’s tracks, an independent thesis and 30 hours of course work are required. For the first four terms, students take theory and clinical courses, followed by an internship, to prepare them to take. By comparison, the anatomy track is geared towards an individual who is interested in teaching anatomical sciences or in augmenting their research skills for combination with a medical or dental degree. The Entry-level Master’s (ELM) program combines learning in basic nursing sufficient to prepare students to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination and to study for an advanced practice role in a clinical nursing specialty. Generally, the biotechnology track is designed for the student who is interested in technical and/or supervisory positions in biotechnology companies, forensic laboratories, or in academic positions that require extensive knowledge of molecular biology.
